PROGFEST is a celebration of musicians creating progressive music.

Featuring progressive bands of all styles and genres, from prog, post, psychedelic, art rock & metal and everything in between, PROGFEST is about showcasing bands that think for themselves; bands who rather than simply recreating the music of the mainstream and desperately seeking chart places, have decided to challenge themselves musically and create music with depth and vision.

After the birth of PROGFEST in Melbourne in late 2008, the event slowly travelled around the country over the next 12 months with subsequent events taking place in Sydney, Canberra & Brisbane. Continually building momentum with each show, PROGFEST now returns in 2010, bigger and better than ever, and showcasing the many remarkable progressive bands of all styles this country has to offer in cities across Australia!

PROGFEST hits Sydney on July 31st at the Annandale Hotel headlined by highly regarded local progressive hard rockers, BREAKING ORBIT, and 2009 PROGFEST crowd favourites, one of Australia’s most exciting and much-hyped new progressive metal bands, NE OBLIVISCARIS. Joined by Sleepmakeswaves, Shanghai, Pirate, A State of Flux (VIC), Anubis, Arcane (QLD), Meniscus, Paradigm, Slimey Things, Godswounds & Mish, PROGFEST is one event not to be missed by any open-minded music fan!

Ticket Information

  1. All line-ups and times are subject to change without notice, and are beyond the Annandale Hotel’s control.
  2. Please choose carefully as tickets are strictly non-refundable under any circumstances.
  3. You must be over 18 years of age to enter the venue (unless the show is listed as an all ages gig). You must be able to produce a current form of identification – drivers license, proof of age card or passport only.
  4. To claim your tickets you must have a copy of your confirmation email and/or ticket numbers plus the credit card you booked with or current photo identification. Tickets may only be claimed on the day of the gig from the time the doors open.
